Why it is hard
Google Ads and Meta Ads do not measure conversions the same way: different attribution windows, modelled conversions, click-through or view-through counting. Adding their numbers as they are gives a misleading total. Bringing them together therefore means first accepting that you are comparing similar, not identical, metrics, and saying so to whoever reads the report.
The second difficulty is time: pulling spend, conversions and cost per conversion from two interfaces every week, for several accounts, quickly becomes a job in itself.
Option 1: the native interfaces
It is free and always up to date. Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager remain the reference for fine-tuning. Their limit: no shared view, and comparisons done by hand in a spreadsheet.
Option 2: a connector and Looker Studio
Looker Studio, Google's dashboard tool, is free. A connector such as Supermetrics brings in data from Meta Ads and other sources: its Starter plan is listed at €39 per month billed annually (€49 monthly), with a 14-day trial.
It is the most flexible option: you build exactly the dashboard you want. It is also the most demanding: you have to design it, then maintain it when the ad networks change their data.
Option 3: a reporting tool
AgencyAnalytics ($20 per client per month billed annually) and Whatagraph (from €999 per month billed annually) deliver ready-made, white-label dashboards and reports with many integrations. They fit when the main need is to present results to clients or management.
Option 4: an auditing and management tool
Adshift connects Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads, Pinterest Ads and X Ads to the same workspace, then audits each account: a health score from 0 to 100, strengths, risks ranked by severity and recommended actions.
On Google Ads, actions are applied from Adshift after approval: pausing or reactivating a campaign, budget, keywords to add or exclude, device bids, target CPA or ROAS, excluding locations or audiences. On Meta Ads, Adshift applies pausing, reactivation and budget. It does not replace a custom dashboard: it does not export its data to Looker Studio.

Frequently asked questions
- Can you add up Google Ads and Meta Ads conversions?
- Not without care: the two networks do not attribute conversions the same way and can count the same sale twice. Compare each network's trends and cost per conversion, and reconcile the total with your actual sales rather than adding up the networks' numbers.
- What is the cheapest option?
- The native interfaces and Looker Studio are free; the connector for Meta Ads is paid (from €39 per month at Supermetrics, billed annually). Adshift has a free plan, then plans at €9, €19 and €49 per month.
- Does Adshift change my campaigns without my approval?
- No. Audit actions are applied when you approve them. The Google Ads Autopilot starts in suggestion mode; automatic apply mode is turned on rule by rule, with safeguards: no changes to campaigns still learning, at least 15 conversions before adjusting a target, and 14 days before reapplying the same rule to the same campaign.
